Ho‘ea — The Foundation is honored to support Speaker Engagements with either Coach Robyn Ah Mow or Coach Laura Beaman. Together we have teamed up to established a process that aims to balance appropriate combinations of organizations and projects to benefit the community. This page explains the process which is designed to optimize the time spent by prospective organizations and foundation staff. A process to address for-profit organizations is currently under review.
Eligibility Requirements:
Please note, the Speaker Engagements are for either Coach Robyn Ah Mow or Coach Laura Beaman and the requesting organization must be invited by Coach Robyn Ah Mow or Coach Laura Beaman to submit a “Speaker Request” application through the Foundation.
All applications, in order to be considered, must comply with rules governing student athletes.
Coach Robyn Ah Mow or Coach Laura Beaman support our process to cultivate and foster a culture of giving through “Paying it Forward.” Thus, applicants are requested to designate a “third party” project to which they could volunteer their time and talents. Ideally, the “third party” project would be conducted within three months of the speaking engagement. This “third party” must be recognized by the IRS as being described in Section 501(c)(3) and 509 (a)(1) or 509(a)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code.
“Speaker Engagement” Application Process
1. The Foundation will accept an application, on behalf of Coach Ah Mow or Coach Laura Beaman, during an ‘open period.’ Open periods are usually between mid-April through end of September. Please inquire at hoeathefoundation@gmail.com for more info on this year’s open periods.
2. Applications will not be accepted: (Coach to instruct on any specific exclusions)
• for the support of solely religious, sacramental or theological functions
• in support of political bodies or campaigns
• to individuals or foreign organizationsif an organization has already submitted an RFI within the same calendar year.

4. Mahalo Hawai‘i, for your interest in Coach Ah Mow or Coach Laura Beaman. Please note, they receive more requests than their schedules allow. Although many requests fall within the guidelines and merit support, please understand that some of the requests received may not lead to a scheduled engagement.
If your organization is selected for a speaking engagement, we will contact you via email.
If your organization wishes to submit another application for a different event, please hold off until the next calendar year.
